Job Description:
Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve
existing systems, and reviews computer system capabilities,
workflow, and limitations. Collaborates with business users to
define, prioritize, and schedule the delivery of the software
products features and milestones. Defines, refines, and
communicates the teams technology roadmap to build team and partner
support and alignment in an Agile environment. Evaluates the
overall effectiveness of organizational/technology structures,
guiding principles, and operating models according to industry and
competitor benchmarks. Primary Responsibilities: Drives product management capabilities. Defines, prioritizes, and schedules the delivery of software
products, features, and milestones. Directs or coordinates project personnel deliverables. Develops and manages annual budgets for information technology
projects. Assesses and determines project prioritization. Participates in strategic planning. Develops and reviews work plans for an application or
system. Develops, documents and revises system design procedures, test
procedures, and quality standards. Builds and manages a business product roadmap and the product
features backlog. Defines, evaluates, and communicates results against acceptance
criteria -- evaluating progress and removing impediments. Measures performance against established objectives and standard
methodologies. Implements informed trade-off decisions to establish a balance
between quality, cost, and timelines. Manages service activities or client relationships by defining
customer standards and service level agreements. Sets visions, goals, and the direction of the
team/organization. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Provides leadership and expertise to multiple teams in broad
technical areas on complex organization-wide projects. Conducts business case analyses and readiness assessments for
technologies. Initiates and manages vendor relationships and establishes
requirements for negotiations. Reviews, analyzes, and formulates project plans for multiple
concurrent projects or programs. Consults with management to ensure agreement on system
principles. Collaborates and coordinates with the leadership to build team
capacity and capabilities. Enables team member growth, development, and learning. Collaborates with cross company teams to design and deliver
technology capabilities for Retail Managed Accounts related
products and solutions for the business. Confers with team to design systems and obtain information on
project limitations and capabilities. Develops and oversees software system testing and validation
procedures, programming, and documentation. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years
of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
performing software development within a managed accounts financial
services environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered
or four (4) years of experience performing software development
within a managed accounts financial services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing systems analysis and
design of a portfolio management platforms -- unified managed
account and wealth management -- using Axioma and Northfield. DE analyzing portfolio optimization techniques (using objective
functions and constraints), tax-sensitive management, and
quantitative methods, and performing alpha and risk model analysis
using portfolio optimizers -- Axioma and Northfield. DE defining the strategic roadmap for a product -- end-to-end
product delivery and feature delivery tradeoffs of the product --
according to Agile methodologies, using JIRA and Confluence; and
leading a team of product owners to define, plan, and execute clear
product visions. DE performing quantitative and qualitative analytics to analyze
platform data, triage issues, and provide strategic options, using
