Job Description:
The End User Solutions Team provides assistance to all Pyramis
investment teams, including Fund Managers, Research and Risk Management.
Will deal directly with the Investment Professionals in understanding
their reporting/information/application issues, solving their problems
directly or with the help of other support resources. Will become a
trusted resource for the Investment Professionals that manages
expectations well and produces high quality, quick turnaround solutions and
communicates clearly when solutions may take more time or not be feasible.
Will interact with all other support groups and serve as a source for
the tactical development work queue and other longer term
solutions. Primary Responsibilities: • Support the needs of our investment professionals in the areas
of reporting, information management, and application
utilization • Effectively meet the investment professionals’ broad range
of information needs, creating the best possible customer
experience • Liaise directly with other support teams (risk, portfolio
monitor, ER&A, data team, PAWS team, performance reporting, et al) in
addressing the information wants and needs of the investment professionals in
the organization • Develop ad-hoc solutions using existing tools to meet the near
term needs of investment professionals • Ensure the selection of tools and implementation of
information solutions are in-line with broader organization direction
(ensure we are using the appropriate tools and methods to solve problems) Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in
Finance, Quantitative Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Financial
Engineering and five (5) years experience in job offered or five (5) years
experience building applications to perform business analytics and
financial modeling within an asset management or financial services environment OR Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in
Finance, Quantitative Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Financial
Engineering and two (2) years experience in job offered or two (2) years
experience building applications to perform business analytics and
financial modeling within an asset management or financial services environment Skills and Knowledge: (1) Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing requirements
gathering, definition, and solutions design of investment analytics for
portfolio management (2) DE developing portfolio risk simulation applications and
analytics using VBA, SQL, PERL and UNIX. (3) DE developing algorithms and statistical models supporting
portfolio management using R, Perl, Factset, Bloomberg, Reuters and Barra
