Job Description:

Serving Fidelity's Finance, Procurement and Accounting IT Group (FPAIT),

will drive innovation, technology strategy, and data architecture roadmaps

across a range of new and existing capabilities within FPAIT functions.

Will be accountable for developing both enterprise and business unit

specific data models, standards, and guidelines. Will be responsible for

collaborating with key partners (business stake holders, Product Managers)

in the adoption of data standards and technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a FPAIT data architecture blueprint to guide

and inform cross product level data initiatives (design principles, ERDs,

source systems, business rules/logic, source-to-target mappings, data

lineage requirements, meta data requirements and processes)

• Work with application development teams to inventory, develop and

maintain Product data models; identifying business critical gaps and

discrepancies; actively propose and implement remediation tactics

• Define, champion, manage pace, and govern data architecture

standards, tools, best practices, and development methodologies

• Recommend software platforms and frameworks for building cross

product data assets to optimize for flexibility, long-term viability, and

time to market

• Actively contribute to Product strategy and engage with key

business partners to understand prioritization and influence direction

• Provide proactive technical oversight and mentorship to development

teams fostering re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational

efficiency

• Proactively identify FPAIT and enterprise opportunities that

accelerate delivery and drive down operational costs through cross-product

platform utilities and services

• Maintain effective relationships with product managers and

technical leads for individual products

• Evangelize data modeling and effectively communicate benefits and

return on investment for application and product owners

Education and Experience:

BS (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math

or Physics and 6 years of experience in job offered or 6 years of

experience in data warehousing

Skills and Knowledge:

1. Demonstrated Expertise (‘DE’) in data warehouse architecture and

design lead

2. DE implementing Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence to the

architecture of a Finance profitability analytics application using OBIEE,

Essbase, Tableau, Netezza and Informatica.

3. DE in data modeling and database performance tuning on Oracle and

Netezza
