Job Description:

Duties: Serve as a member of the Fidelity Financial Advisors Solutions

(FFAS) in the Customer Data Information Systems (CDIS) organization. The

group is responsible for designing, building and maintaining the FFAS Sales

and Marketing Management Information System and a large Oracle Data

Warehouse. This individual will work closely with the FFAS Architecture

group to evaluate, recommend, and implement Distributed Batch application

architecture and data strategies (e.g. standards for application

development (JSR-352), MDM, Big Data, NoSQL). Will work as part of the

CDIS organization and ensure alignment of FFAS Distributed Batch

application development with these strategic directions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Architects, Analysts, Developers, Data Engineers,

DBA’s and QA Engineers to design actionable solutions that meet the

business requirements while adhering to standards and strategies.

• Evaluate, prototype, design, and influence adoption of emerging

technologies across development teams.

• Partner with architects to enforce standards and apply

architectural governance.

• Provide technical direction and mentoring to development teams

(onshore and offshore) to ensure consistent design principles, stability,

and operational efficiency.

• Build consensus across multiple groups within the organization.

• Develop high performing time critical software in both a batch and

a real time environment.

• Work in both Waterfall and Agile environments.

• Lead in the identification, isolation, resolution and communication

of problems within the production environment.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics or Physics and five (5) years of experience in the job offered

or five (5) years of experience developing high performing, time critical

software in both a batch and real-time environment; or, alternatively, a

Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science,

Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics or

Physics and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3)

years of experience developing high performing, time critical software in

both a batch and real-time environment. Also Requires: Demonstrated

Expertise (“DE”) developing batch and real-time applications (bulk and

individual transaction processing, aggregation, and denormalization) within

an investment management and financial services environment, according to

Waterfall/Agile development methodologies; DE developing Batch applications

using Spring Batch, Spring Integration, SQL, Java and Maven against

dimensionally and relationally modeled large Oracle database; DE in

automating build and deployment process and project implementation support,

including user acceptance testing and business user validation,

verification of install procedures, build validation, and execution of

database script into Oracle database.
