Job Description:

Duties: Will analyze attribution data and develop diagnostic tools to

identify funds that are not performing as expected. Will work effectively

with significant amounts of data, and draw conclusions from the data. Will

conduct investment review meetings with internal and external portfolio

managers, and ask critical questions about process, philosophy and

performance. Will distill the information gleaned in these meetings in

order to produce well-written, detailed fund notes. Will identify best in

class funds using qualitative and quantitative information, and arrive at

conclusions about the quality of the managers.

Specific asset class responsibility includes Core, Global, and Emerging

Markets fixed income as well as Balanced strategies. Will discuss macro

trends as they evolve over time and gain an understanding of the specific

risks associated with non-US fixed income investing. Will contribute to the

group’s key initiatives around increasing investment integrity and open

architecture.

Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Finance or Business Administration and two (2) years of experience in the

job offered or two (2) years of experience performing investment analysis

of mutual fund products. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated

Expertise (“DE”) developing Asset Allocation strategies mapped to client

asset investment objectives within a Retirement and 401(k) environment; DE

performing fund mapping and competitive mutual fund analysis; and

presenting mutual fund analysis to internal investment consultants/client

relationship managers within a Retirement and 401(k) environment; DE

performing fixed income securities and funds analysis, including stable

value and variable annuity investment analysis; DE modeling mutual fund

performance using FactSet, Morningstar Direct and Bloomberg.
