Job Description:

Duties: Serve as Director for PAS/PWM Platform Development within

Fidelity’s Personal, Workplace and Institutional Services (PWIS)

organization. Will provide business leadership/management of the

technology platform and associated business processes that support the PAS

& PWM managed accounts business. Will participate in strategic,

marketplace, and/or other necessary analysis to identify platform or

process enhancements that support product strategy and will present

proposals to management for funding approval. Will be accountable for the

successful commercial launch of new platform functionality and process

enhancements post funding approval. Will oversee the full product

development life cycle, including concept ideation, solution design,

development, and implementation. The focus of this role will be driving

the platform solutions that support the Rep Experience in support of our

clients including, Profiling, Sale and Service Support and associated

workflow and Rep tools.

Primary Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with PAS/PWM product colleagues,

PAS/PWM functional leads, external Fidelity Partners, and technology as the

strategic thought leader in the development of new platform capabilities to

support the growth and scalability of the PAS discretionary products and

services; and drive the implementation of the discretionary product

platform strategy.

• Business Planning: Help coordinate the discretionary and non-

discretionary technology budget in support of the business plan including

requirements definition, technology sizing, and prioritization of key

initiatives.

• Platform Development Oversight: Manage the development and

implementation of innovative products, features and services that are

consistent with business objectives and targets.

• Business Case Development: Develop the business case to support the

investment in new platform capabilities including opportunity assessment,

business justification, conceptual design, and financial justification.

• Platform Requirements/Design Development: Coordinate the

development of platform requirements that outline related business needs

(operational and technical).

• Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key

stakeholder across PAS, PWM, PWI and business partners in order to form

organizational consensus on issues and ensure consistency in the

representation of the business. Develop best practices and consult on

interrelated, interdependent issues and initiatives.

• Thought Leadership: Develop and facilitate solutions for

complex/significant business or technical challenges to ensure

implementation of solution. Recommend alternatives and solutions to support

critical decisions.

• Status Communication: Communicate project status concisely and

effectively to all levels of management throughout lifecycle of projects,

including sales and client management, marketing and communications, legal

and compliance, investment management, operations, finance and technology.

• Ad-Hoc Strategic Projects: Work with sales, client management,

risk, SAI, finance, technology, and marketing to drive new strategic

product initiatives.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and six (6) years of

experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience project

managing mid-size technology projects within a managed accounts financial

services environment; or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign

education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related

field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years

of experience project managing mid-size technology projects within a

managed accounts financial services environment.. Candidate must also

possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing financial services equity

trading applications following advanced Agile development methodologies and

using collaboration tools – RTC, Resultspace, and JIRA; DE designing and

utilizing managed accounts analytics and client profiling financial

planning tools -- retirement planning calculators, Alternate Minimum Tax

planning, reverse mortgage calculator, solvers for calculating age based

modeling, and Health Savings Accounts planning -- to perform stochastic

asset liability modeling and utilizing cash flow engines for product

delivery; DE project managing the build and development of asset management

technology, including coordinating vendor relationships and deliverables,

performing risk mitigation, conflict resolution, release management,

scheduling, benchmarking developer productivity, and managing budgets.
