Job Description:

Duties: Will provide technology leadership to a team of engineers for the

Managed Accounts business, and facilitate continued advancement towards

engineering excellence across a global delivery organization. Reporting to

the Vice President of Software Engineering Development, this role will

contribute to the code base and continuously evolve and improve engineering

practices across the business as well as represent specific business

interests in department and companywide technology forums. Will influence

and collaborate with key internal partners including enterprise

architecture and shared technology services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Engage business partners on key software challenges and designs.

• Lead the design and delivery of portfolio construction and

portfolio management applications across the Managed Accounts platform.

• Facilitate and lead code and design review sessions for all

deliverables.

• Advance continuous integration and continuous delivery adoption

throughout the division.

• Standardize processes and technologies and assist teams in adoption

of these processes and technology-related principals.

• Lead junior and senior level associates in software engineering

delivery.

• Lead design sessions and ensure timely design and code reviews.

• In partnership with application and database engineering leads in

Boston, Ireland, and India, advance software engineering delivery, and test

and deployment automation.

• Lead engineering forums and Agile software development practices

for SAI Technology.

Participate in technology recruiting activities for the Managed Accounts

team.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics,

Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience in the

job offered or six (6) years of experience as a team lead in a customer-

facing role engaged in the design and development of portfolio construction

and portfolio management applications; or, alternatively, Master’s degree

(or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer

Applications, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related

field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years

of experience as a team lead in a customer-facing role engaged in the

design and development of portfolio construction and portfolio management

applications. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”)

leading global Agile software development teams for portfolio construction

and portfolio management applications, including liaising with stakeholders

to inform discussions on future development; DE building and maintaining

user interfaces for portfolio construction and portfolio management

applications -- using Javascript, jQuery, Backbone, and Grunt -- to

interact with SOAP and REST-based middle tier Java-Spring web services; DE

in design and development of fault tolerant, high throughput, batch

processes, and middle tier SOAP and REST web services for portfolio

construction and portfolio management applications, using Java-Spring, JMS,

and myBatis/iBatis frameworks, to interact with Oracle RAC relational

databases, Tibco EMS, and risk based portfolio optimization engines; DE in

design and development of portfolio construction and portfolio management

applications according to Agile methodologies using JIRA to track

requirements and project management artifacts; Quality Center for defect

management; Eclipse and SpringSource Tool Suite for development; jUnit and

Cucumber for test automation; Stash for source code management; Maven,

Hudson, Jenkins, Pivotal TcServer, and uDeploy for continuous integration

and deployment; and dynaTrace and TeamQuest for performance tuning.
