Job Description:

Will assist Actuarial management by maintaining premium forecast models,

rating systems, and pricing models. Will run data analysis and revenue

forecasts, and assist in the development of state-filed rating memoranda.

Will assist in development of pricing methodologies, analysis of the Plan’s

risk pool, and the identification of trends in the organization’s cost

structure. Will identify underlying issues which impact analysis in

coordination with other departments, management, and outside consultants.

Will assist in development of rating memoranda rates for non-standard

benefits requested by accounts and responses to RFP actuarial-related

questions.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business

or a related quantitative field plus 4 years of experience providing

actuarial forecasting for the healthcare, life, property/casualty, or

financial services markets.

Or, in the alternative:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business

or a related quantitative field plus 2 years of experience providing

actuarial forecasting for the healthcare, life, property/casualty, or

financial services markets.

Must also have passed at least two examinations in the Society of Actuaries

exam series.

Special Requirements:

(1) Demonstrated experience applying actuarial, underwriting, and financial

principles within one of the following markets: the healthcare, life,

property/casualty, or financial services;

(2) Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, including the

ability to use functions, pivot tables, and basic macro editing;

(3) Demonstrated experience utilizing data analysis software (such as SAS,

SPSS, SQL, or Microsoft Access), in order to extract and manipulate large

data sets.
