Staffing Manager/Recruiter
MIT Human Resources seeks a staffing manager/recruiter to
assume strategic leadership responsibility for the day-to-day
operations of the Staffing Services function in a decentralized and
complex environment of roughly 10,000 employees.
This reestablished position will spearhead central HR recruitment
efforts and make certain all strategic objectives are met. Will improve
the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the function and be
responsible for hands-on recruiting; maximize functionality of
applicant tracking system; develop and train hiring managers on
recruiting trends and best practices; and partner with HR directors
and managers across the Institute to ensure compliance with federal
and state AA, EEO, and OFCCP regulations and MIT's policies.
Will also work closely with the manager of staff diversity and
inclusion and HR staff throughout MIT to create and foster networking
relationships and outreach initiatives; and provide guidance on
strategies and practices to advance and support MIT's long-standing
commitment to workplace diversity, affirmative action, and equal
opportunity.
Requirements: a minimum of eight years' experience, including high
volume recruiting; experience managing a staffing and recruiting
function, preferably in a highly decentralized environment; experience
implementing applicant tracking systems and new employee
programs; strong interpersonal and oral and written communication
and presentation skills; knowledge of EEO and OFCCP
requirements; and experience in a research or educational
environment. Must possess strong project management skills and
the ability to manage expectations and work collaboratively and cross-
functionally. A Bachelor's degree and PHR/SPHR certification
preferred.
