Job Description:
IT Program Manager (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Boston,
MA): Responsible for planning and project management of medium- to
large- scale software development projects through completion including
project scope, budget, and timeline. Specific duties include: coordinate
and facilitate projects activities across a broad team to complete
project milestones; act as liaison for senior stakeholders; resolve
complex software issues and problems; set direction for specialization
including high level goals and agenda; translate business requirements
into system functional design documents and drive all relevant business
analysis to ensure optimal solutions; present recommendations and build
consensus on issues impacting project/team/function; manage IT project
budget; develop internal network across functions; act as contact for
external stakeholders at various levels; partner with business or IT
counterparts on project delivery, new demand, enhancement requests, and
support issues; and present and communicate findings to senior
management. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept
foreign education equivalent) plus eight (8) years of experience
delivering IT projects, which must include at least four (4) years of
experience in IT project management. Specific skills/other requirements
(quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section) - must
possess the following: (i) Project management methodologies, including
running Scrum Agile projects and understanding of Waterfall; (ii)
Working across all phases of the software development life-cycle including
project initiation, planning, execution, tracking and closure; (iii)
Software development tools and languages including Visual Studio, Dot
net Technologies, and SQL; (iv) Vendor management; (v) Managing
project or product release using scrum methodology including story
building, product and release backlog grooming, sprint planning,
conducting daily stand-ups, sprint demo, sprint and project retrospective; and
(vi) Working with productivity tools including one of the following:
Slack, Trello, Jira or ServiceNow. Multiple positions available. Must
