Job Description:
Senior Knowledge Analyst - Healthcare Practice Area (The Boston
Consulting Group, Inc. - Boston, MA): Provide research content,
quality and leadership to support client consulting engagements
within the BioPharma sector globally by identifying critical
knowledge needs, managing and processing customized knowledge and
research requests, and providing original and specialized analysis
to drive insight into specific client issues. Specific duties
include: oversee and execute research gathering, analysis and
application for the BioPharma industry; support larger sector and
topic research group and IP development; develop initiatives for
the Healthcare Practice group; drive business development and
partnerships; provide customized knowledge for client work and
client-facing expertise; oversee and evaluate preparation of
outputs and quality of Associate Researcher analysis; provide
mentorship to junior level researchers; present findings to senior
client management and senior stakeholders collaborate and maintain
the development of new knowledge through participation in Tier1s
and knowledge infrastructure projects, database, and surveys; and
promote innovation by recognizing new concepts, facilitating their
capture, and building new topic/sector-related customized knowledge
products. Requires a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry,
pharmacology, public health or related field (willing to accept
foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of corporate
research experience for the BioPharma, Health Systems, or Medical
Technology industries or, alternatively, will accept a Master's
degree in biology, chemistry, pharmacology, public health or
related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus
three (3) years of corporate research experience for the BioPharma,
Health Systems, or Medical Technology industries. Specific
skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not
applicable to this section) must possess the following: (i)
conducting specialized secondary research and application of
various databases with a focus on the Healthcare industry and
sub-sectors such as biopharmaceuticals; (ii) collaborating with
various stakeholders to optimize business operations, knowledge
transfer and identify new business opportunities; (iii) applying
problem solving skills and lateral thinking capabilities to clarify
and work through ambiguous research projects; (iv) utilizing
research techniques, sources/databases usage, and Healthcare
industry/sector knowledge to drive business and research insights
and expand IP development; and (v) mentoring junior colleagues,
including quality assurance of their work output. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to
