Position: Senior Manager of Algorithms (Boston, MA)

Duties: Will oversee research and development of algorithms to drive

business and profitability impact of e-commerce operations. Analyze data

from multiple sources including competitor prices, sales, inventory,

product, and customer databases. Utilize econometric models to calculate

optimal prices for millions of products worldwide. Design algorithms to be

implemented at scale over large datasets; tune models in response to

changing competitive environment. Code in Matlab, SQL, Python and STATA to

implement desired outcomes. Provide data to guide C-level executives to

make direct business decisions. Oversee research of three data science

engineers (all hold a bachelor’s degree or higher). Expertise may be

acquired during graduate studies.

Requirements: Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Economics or related field

(willing to accept foreign education equivalent). Must possess expertise in

industrial organization, econometrics and computational economics;

demonstrated expertise developing algorithms that scale over large datasets

for the dynamic pricing of millions of consumer products; demonstrated

expertise developing econometric models for estimation of underlying

customer preferences from large datasets; and demonstrated expertise

programming in Matlab, SQL, Python, and STATA. Expertise may be acquired

during graduate studies.
