Job Description:
Systems Analyst - ATG for The Talbots, Inc. in Hingham, MA will
work with business to understand and define business requirements.
Translate the business requirements into system requirements and design
specifications. Identify and create documentation as defined by the standard
Systems Development Methodology (SDM) process. Lead systems development
projects and ensure management is kept current on project status and
milestone deliverables. Assist in post-implementation support and
system enhancement. Document new and existing application requirements.
Develop code and prepare documentation of developed programs and
processes. Manage all aspects of the SDM including to status updates, definition
and tracking of project milestones, system design, and tracking of
financial deliverables. Participate in the RFP process for software
purchases, prepare estimates for complex projects. Assist project team with
unit testing, development of system test plans and performance of
full system testing prior to implementation. Provide production support to
existing systems. Assist in the mentoring and training and development
junior developers and systems analysts. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or
Electrical Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) as well as three (3) years experience in ATG design
and development for retail applications. or, alternatively, a
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience as noted above. Experience must include: Demonstrated expertise performing
design and development in the Oracle ATG platform using Web Commerce,
BCC Merchandising, Repository, Search, and Content Management;
demonstrated expertise performing database extraction for content
management applications using MS SQL and DB2; demonstrated expertise
performing Java development using Eclipse, Repository, and Search; demonstrated
expertise implementing extracted data to retail website within a Windows
environment; demonstrated expertise in all phases of the systems development
lifecycle including gathering requirements, developing functional
specifications, implementing code, testing and implementation, and maintaining
existing code bases; and demonstrated expertise designing and modeling
