biomedical research.An exciting opportunity to work with employees
across across the Mass General Brigham hospital system to execute
high risk contracts with a variety of vendors in support of our
mission to deliver outstanding medical care to our patients and
world class Research. Reporting directly to the Corporate Manager
of Non-Clinical Contracts, the Contract Manager/Non-Clinical
Contracting manages contract types to include: software, services,
and agreements to support the purchases of goods and services. The
Contract Manager identifies and manages risk by negotiating
favorable contractual terms. The Contract Manager assists with
determining goals and objectives of the services provided by Supply
Chain. This position is remote with travel to Mass General Brigham
sites as needed.Responsibilities: Negotiate and manage
enterprise-wide agreements with Professional Services, IT, and
Research vendors ensuring timely, accurate and market-competitive
ratesRespond to all questions related to the service line in a
prompt & professional manner and in accordance with departmental
service level expectations.Build strategies to reach contract and
savings objectivesDeliver savings, risk mitigation, and operational
efficiencies as a result of successful contract negotiations with
vendorsParticipate in RFP evaluation, market analyses, contract
negotiation and contract executionEnsure the organization's
internal contract documents are accurate and well
maintainedMaintain excellent working relationships with business
ownersBuild, prepare, review, redline, and sign all contractsFind
opportunities to improve business processes and/or savings
opportunities and devise plans to implement these changesSeek
opportunities to consolidate vendors, lower costs and improve
operational efficiencyMaintain up-to-date knowledge of new
technology developments and industry standard
methodologies.Participate on procurement related committees and
special projects as assigned.QualificationsQualifications: 5+
years' experience in a contracting role with a focus on contracting
with professional services, technology and research
vendorsBachelor's Degree in Business or a related fieldStrong
understanding of contractual language addressing areas of risk to
include: PHI, PI, data use, intellectual property rights, copyright
issues, and compliance Experience working in fast-paced environment
and managing a high volume of work effectivelyAccountable,
self-driven and responsible individual who thrives in a team
environmentDemonstrated ability to identify and lead critical
initiatives Experience negotiating with technology, services, and
research vendors.Expertise in high contract negotiations, cost
savings, vendor management, and customer relations Possesses strong
organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
with shifting deadlinesMust have strong digital literacy and
knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office Must possess
excellent written and oral communication skillsExemplify creative
problem solving abilitiesSkills/Abilities/Other DetailsPossess
strong interpersonal skills to optimally connect with staff at all
levels of the organizationAbility to successfully negotiate and
collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds and
