Job Description:
As a Field Application Specialist, you will provide high level,
in-depth technical support and expertise to customers using
Sartorius BioAnalytics products (specifically the iQue screener and
Incucyte Live-Cell Analysis system) and provide pre-sales support
to sales colleagues throughout the sales process. This includes
pre-sale presentations, product demonstrations, and customer
trainings.
This role will be responsible for a region covering the greater
northeastern US. Candidate must reside in - or be willing to
relocate to - the greater Boston, MA area.
What you will accomplish together with us:
You will work collaboratively with Sales colleagues to drive sales
of Sartorius iQue and Incucyte instruments, reagents, and
consumables.
In this role, you will identify customer needs and/or problems, and
be knowledgeable in all related products. Introduce solutions to
needs/problems where appropriate.
One of your tasks will be Product Demonstrations: help develop
detailed experimental plan, expected outcomes, and set
expectations. Identify necessary reagents and make recommendations
which fit customer's needs. Help in assay set up/train relevant lab
personnel.
You will work with established and new customers: conduct on-site
and remote trainings of the Sartorius instrumentation and software.
Provide support as necessary for ongoing assays and stay engaged
with users to drive expansion into new application areas using
Sartorius technology.
One of your responsibilities will be to collect feedback from the
field to drive new product development.
You will be expected to maintain diligent records of customer
interactions and trainings in CRM database.
Perform other related duties as required.
What will convince us:
You have completed a bachelor's degree in Life Science Biology, or
related field.
You have a minimum of 2+ years of field experience in a similar
application scientist/technical support role OR combination of lab
experience with customer support roles (e.g. work in core lab
facilities).
You have a minimum of 2+ years of experience training lab personnel
in use of instruments and software.
You possess experience with flow cytometry, fluorescence labeling
and microscopy , cell culture, antibody discovery, cell line
development, general cell biology and cell culture.
You have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

You have a demonstrated aptitude towards the selling process and a

ability to organize, develop, and follow through on tasks and
plans.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
