Job Title --- Accounting & Transactions Expert 2 Location --- Rockland, MA,02370 Duration --- 12 months on w2 (with possible extension) KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES -- Account reconciliations -- Accounts Receivable chargebacks reconciliation -- Process descriptions and improvements -- Wide understanding and application of standards, guidelines, policies, concepts, and techniques applicable to accounting and reconciliations. -- Reporting/Analysis to internal customers. May generate standard and ad hoc reports, applying skill, judgment and understanding of accounting principles and operational needs. Assist in identifying, investigating and correcting errors in a timely manner to ensure the validity of financial data. -- Maintains and reconciles multiple ledger and subledger accounts. Recommends improvements in methods, systems, or procedures as deemed appropriate. Exercises sound judgment and discretion in escalating issues, problems, and/or exceptions to Merck policy to Management. -- Must be self-sufficient and knowledgeable to meet scheduled deadlines. -- Other duties, as assigned. Positive outlook when faced with challenges EDUCATION/ SKILLS & EXPERIENCE -- BS degree in Accounting/Finance required. -- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting/finance. -- SAP experience preferred. -- Strong written and oral communication skills. -- Excellent analytical and Excel skills required
