To do so, we rely on a dynamic, culturally diverse group of employees, working in more than 100 countries, in a variety of challenging roles.Responsibilities:This position is responsible for accounting, monitoring, reporting and analysis of business activity related to the company?s financial instruments, including derivatives. This position supports investment accounting?s financial close activities, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement schedules, as well as the accompanying footnotes and miscellaneous financial reporting requests. The position requires knowledge of related accounting guidance, including ASC 815, Derivatives and Hedging. The position requires proactively identifying and solving the most sophisticated problems that impact the investment accounting function.This position also:* Leads a cross-functional team responsible for derivatives and multi-currency investments, including the evaluation and implementation of derivative accounting and reporting standards.* Participates in the investment accounting component of projects to develop or improve systems, processes and protocols.* Monitors and evaluates the impact of proposed accounting standard changes and assists in the interpretation and implementation of accounting policies.* Drives technology and automation efforts and assists the investment accounting manager with developing process improvements and increased efficiency within the department.Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance* Certified Public Accountant designation preferred!* Public Accounting experience preferred* 5-7 years' experience in investment accounting including derivatives and multi-currency investments* Advanced knowledge of investment accounting principles and practices, including both GAAP and SAP* Sophisticated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills* Demonstrated advanced project management skills* Ability to multi-task* Great communication skills* Ability to work in a dynamic, non-routine environment* Strong Microsoft Excel and Access knowledge; basic Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills* Sophisticated knowledge of investment accounting systems (CAMRA/Clearwater) and BloombergWe offer our employees a wide range of benefits including career long learning opportunities, tuition reimbursement, 401 (k), pension, flexible schedules, rich health and well-being programs, generous time off allowances, volunteer days and so much more!FM Global is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to attracting, developing and retaining a diverse workforce.
