WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Knowledge Analyst (KA) within BCG's Financial Institutions Practice Area, you will work within a growing global team, providing industry expertise and insights whilst working together with BCG teams to provide expert advisory, industry analysis and develop knowledge assets. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case (client project) teams, clients, and partners, helping structure and solve complex issues.The main responsibility will be to work with case teams on expert research and deliver original analysis and insights for the Wholesale Banking segment - which encompasses all Business-to-Business banking ranging from Business Banking to Middle Market client segments, to Multinational Large Corporate. Products in scope include all traditional Corporate Banking products such as credit and lending structures, treasury management services, trade finance, FX, derivatives, as well as Investment Banking and Capital Markets products such as ECM, DCM, sales and trading, prime brokerage, or securities services.Additionally, you will support BCG's wholesale banking partner leadership team in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets. You will work on commercialization efforts for the business in conjunction with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences, and publications. The above may include:Work with case (and proposal) teamsTeaming up with more senior members of the Wholesale Banking Knowledge team, partner with case teams to identify & address critical knowledge needsProviding customized knowledge for client work, prepares accurate, well developed documents and chartsDelivering original analysis and insights to case teamLiaising with Data and Research Teams to ensure that requests for expertise are addressed by KT and appropriate research is deliveredWorking with consultants, collects, synthesizes, analyses case team learning & inputs into new knowledge products (vignettes, experience)Work with topic/sector teamsBuilding & updating wholesale banking knowledge products including proprietary benchmarkings, market sizes, specialized datasets, etc. Collaborating on wholesale banking intellectual capital developmentContributing to content development for internal meetings & trainingsBCG's Financial Institutions Practice (FIP) aims to be the consultant of choice for leaders in the financial industry. YOU'RE GOOD ATApplying Wholesale Banking expertise when contributing to building and deploying tools and data when taking client contexts into accountSolving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approachesWorking collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of workingFlexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas Communicating with senior stakeholders, in a credible and confident wayAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and to navigate complexity and ambiguityAbility to manage multiple parallel tasksEffective written & verbal communication skillsYOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)1 - 2 years of relevant work experience requiredBachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred Strong working knowledge of the commercial, corporate and investment banking; solid understanding of the financial institutions industry1+ years of relevant experience with top 25 U.S. Commercial Banks (nationals, super-regionals, regionals) Knowledge in the following areas ideal:Front line banking experience, knowledge of sales force effectiveness programsCommercial loan origination processRelevant project management experience in a consulting or internal bank capacity Familiar with typical datasets in Commercial Banking (loan pricing data, client profitability, etc.)Fluency in EnglishYOU'LL WORK WITHAs a Knowledge Analyst you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
