Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team.It is a very exciting time for Sunovion, as the organization embarks on recent collaboration efforts in pursuit of development and commercialization of future assets. This unique opportunity sets the stage for long term growth and maintains Sunovion's focus on the overall corporate strategy to become a leading CNS company.The Sr Financial Analyst, Corporate FP will report directly to the Senior Director, Corporate FP and will be responsible for supporting the planning and reporting for both Sunovion and SMPA (Shared Services organization) activities. The Sr Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving forward key initiatives to optimize our financial planning processes and leverage data and information to derive key insights and variance drivers as it relates to Sunovion and SMPA activities.The Sr Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting, validating, and maintaining reporting materials for Sunovion's collaboration assets. This role will also assist in formalizing collaboration processes and support in the delivery of an automated solution for reporting. Additionally, this role will support financial data management processes, including maintaining metadata and hierarchy mapping files, supporting integration across the suite of financial platforms, engagement in system enhancements and testing, and assisting in support and troubleshooting for BI tool.**Essential Function:**1. Support the consolidation and analytics of the Sunovion and SMPA Corporate P, assisting in the annual Budget process and quarterly forecast cycles+ Analyze, understand, and report key variance drivers across the Corporate P on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.+ Support the development of Sunovion and SMPA financial reporting and presentation of results, including various Board of Directors and executive level materials+ Aid in the compilation of information for the quarterly earnings release, requiring the ability to extract key metrics and qualitatively summarize findings.+ Responsible for analytics of the intercompany and related party, including variance analysis of key drivers and presentation+ Support subsidiaries for finance business processes including budget/forecast cycles, systems, and consolidation into corporate reporting2. Assist with key strategic financial initiatives+ Assist in creating various reports and dashboards, including supporting schedules for each Collaboration governance committee+ Support the development and documentation of key finance processes, to facilitate alignment efforts across the finance team and governance committees+ Participate in the development of an automated solution to support Collaboration reporting requirements3. Support Financial Planning Systems and Data Management processes+ Data analytics for managing metadata and hierarchies mapping and security files for BI visualization tool (Tableau)+ Coordinate updates to metadata, changes to reporting structures, and system calculation logic changes+ Maintain version and scenario mapping across all Hyperion cubes and FP technology platforms+ Develop and maintain corporate financial dashboards & visualizations reporting, where applicable, to help management understand the company's financial health against KPIs.+ Participate in the build, test, and reports for end users (i.e. Hyperion Planning Financial Reports, Anaplan, Tableau dashboarding, etc.)+ Assist with upgrades, and system enhancements related to the company's financial budgeting system (Hyperion Planning) and Executive Dashboard technology (Tableau)4. Assist with the Mid-Term Business Plan and Long Range Plan, as applicable, providing inputs, insights, and validation to support the corporate consolidated financial outlook.5. Participate in leadership and management activities and process improvement initiatives6. Provide ad-hoc financial and strategic analyses to support decision making, as needed7. Evaluate and improve corporate financial processes to drive efficiencies, as needed**Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required**+ Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field+ Minimum 3 years relevant corporate experience+ Experience in Pharmaceutical industry preferred+ Advanced written and oral communication skills+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment+ Strong understanding of finance business processes and relational databases+ Experience in Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management / financial reports+ Adept team player / collaborator+ Ability to identify, own, and solve problems+ Demonstrable learning agility**Health and Safety:** To maintain the health and safety of our employees, patients, and affiliates, as well as comply with the vaccination requirements of our partners, employees are required to be vaccinated against COVID -19.
