Job Description:
A private family outside of Boston seeks an experienced family
office professional to provide a broad range of operational and
bookkeeping support for its small single family office,
reportingdirectly to the office senior executive. The family is
looking for a positive, upbeat, articulate,tech savvy, discrete and
highly organized self-starting professional. The candidate must
becapable of managing multiple tasks of changing priority while
embracing a concierge mentality.Accounting or bookkeeping
experience is required, along with experience in a family office
orsubstantially similar environment. A successful candidate could
be considered for additionalresponsibilities over time.
Candidates must be available to work full time in the Lincoln, MA
office.
Responsibilities:--- Manage bill pay and mail for the office and
the family it serves--- Enter bank and credit card transactions and
reconcile monthly statements--- Support two philanthropic entities,
including ensuring that commitments are paid timelyand appropriate
donation acknowledgements are received--- Assist in various
quarterly financial reporting and tracking direct investments---
Maintain insurance and registrations for homes, autos, and a boat,
annually reviewingcoverage and recommending changes as needed---
Manage and coordinate calendars for family principals--- Prepare
bank wire requests for review and execution--- Track and manage
family medical insurance claims--- Provide IT computer support,
Apple environment--- Maintain art, jewelry, and wine inventories---
Support existing House Manager, including tracking seasonal tasks
and appointmentsacross multiple properties--- Maintain office files
for record retention consistent with office protocol--- Provide
Executive Assistant support for the office senior executive---
Assist with occasional travel reservations
Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related
degree, or significant equivalent workexperience--- Experience
working in a family office or materially related function--- Team
player, helping out when called upon even if outside primary
responsibilities--- Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
and Word--- Highest ethical and professional standards, and utmost
discretion in preserving theconfidentiality of family
information--- Organized self starter--- Unfailing attention to
detail while managing a varied workload of shifting priorities---
General Apple/Mac proficiency -- IT experience in a Mac environment
desirable--- Background check, legal work status, and
confidentiality agreement--- Valid driver's license and clean
driving record
