Job Description:

Responsibilities: Provide management with information, metrics & incisive commentary vital to the decision-making process to affect positive change Produce timely financial-status reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in the company's growth utilizing available system software Keep abreast of variances from the budget and report significant issues to management Provide financial analyses as needed for capital investments (pre and post investment) and well as vendor cost/benefit analysis. Coordinate Annual Property Insurance Policy renewal process and work closely with HR & payroll company to support Health Insurance Re-enrollment process. Process Improvement for Growth: Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies. Streamline and simplify budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes for efficiencies and timely results. Oversee and ensure all transactional activities are conducted smoothly not limited to: payroll, payables, receivables, debt payments, cash disbursements, accruals, reconciliations, etc. while utilizing appropriate staff and resources. Recommend improvements to ensure the integrity of a company's financial information Assess current accounting operations and offer recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes; make tangible improvements towards automation of repeatable tasks in accounting Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis File Annual reports for all business entities & comply with all known Federal & State Guidelines. Manage unanticipated costs by keeping open, scheduled recurring communication streams with operations & outside vendors when needed Reporting & Compliance: Manage and analyze financial statement, payroll, budget, tax & regulatory compliance utilizing staff and third-party providers i.e.: CPA, 401K provider, Payroll Provider etc. Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines Spearhead auditing process (internal & external) i.e.: Unemployment, 401K, payroll Prepare internal & external financial statements working closely with the CPAs to support their needs for completing Owner's tax returns, lender's loan covenants and reporting requirements. Requirements: BS Degree. (Accounting preferred)10+ Years GL experienceStrong leadership skillsRestaurant industry experience preferred.This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and manage multiple deadlines.Strong problem solving and analytical skills, ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.Ability to excel in a fast paced environment with evolving priorities.Proficiency in MS Office (Word & Excel).
