Description
Under the leadership of the Treasurer, the Asset and Liability
Management Analytics team is responsible for the decomposition of
key Interest Rate Risk measures including, but not limited to,
Economic Value of Equity and Earnings at Risk. The Asset and
Liability Management Analyst role will act as a subject matter
expert on their particular portfolio(s) within the scope of
Valuation and NII Sensitivity. This role will report directly to
the Head of ALM Analytics.
Primary responsibilities include
Utilize the ALM balance sheet model (QRM) to run monthly EVE and
NII for assigned portfolio(s)
Perform attribution and decomposition of portfolio(s) impacts' on
the overall Interest Rate Risk position of the Bank
Establish/ maintain good working relationships with Line of
Business (LOB) partners to discuss monthly changes in pricing,
volume, and prepayment assumptions
Enhance and/or develop reporting tools used to communicate Interest
Rate Risk drivers to upper management
Facilitate the build out of any new banking products or improved
modeling approaches within QRM
Assist in regulatory/internal audits, governance support, and
internal risk management reviews
Regularly review portfolio assumptions and processes to look for
areas of improvement
Execute assumption sensitivity and back-testing to identify the
main drivers of changes in metrics
Work in a fast paced, team environment
Initiative to seek out information necessary to answer management's
questions
Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of Strong analytical background within Treasury and/or
Risk
3+ Prior Treasury ALM experience with a strong understanding of
Interest Rate Risk
3+ years experience with QRM or other ALM Frameworks
Strong Excel skills with an eye toward building analytical
efficiency
Essbase proficiency
Self-starter
Comfortable presenting findings and communicating with upper
management
Experience with PowerBI or PowerQuery
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
Required - bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer
science, math, statistics
Master's Degree preferred
Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Financial Analyst
(CFA) a plus
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40 hours per week
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2
remote
