Town of Belmont Employment Opportunity The Town of Belmont is
now accepting applications for the Full-Time position of: Town
Treasurer/Collector Treasurer's Department Annual Salary Range:
$88,286.93- $125,953.16+ Signing BonusApplicants must submit the
required Town of Belmont application form, resume and cover letter
to the Town's Human Resources Department The Town of Belmont seeks
for a Town Treasurer/Collector to join their team, working under
the general direction of the Assistant Town Administrator/Finance
Director, and responsible for the supervision of the Department
Staff. Responsible for the functions of the Treasurer/Collector's
Office including the billing, collecting and depositing of
receipts; cash management, long and short-term borrowing; tax
collection; Town funds including trust funds and special revenue
funds; Town tax title accounts and foreclosed properties; tax
accounts affected by Bankruptcy Court decision. Responsible for the
monthly reconciliation of cash and bank accounts and the
preparation and submission of all cash reports to the Commonwealth
as required by statute or regulation. Submit purchase order
requisitions and requests for payment of vendors and employees to
the Town Accountant's Office.Bachelor's Degree in Business or
related field, and seven to ten (7-10) years of progressively
responsible experience in finance management, cash management,
accounting data processing and/or administration; or any equivalent
combination of education and experience. Master's Degree and
municipal experience preferred.Certified Treasurer/Collector
through the Massachusetts Treasurer/Collector's Association (unless
waived by the Town Administrator).This position qualifies for the
Town's complete comprehensive benefits package, working 40 hours
weekly. Building hours are Mondays 8:00am-7:00pm, Tuesday through
Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm and Fridays 8:00am to 12:00pm.Resumes with

examination. Certain positions will also require a CORI criminal
background screening. The Town reserves the right to modify the
