Job Description:Business DivisionFidelity's Equity Division is responsible for managing more than 129 diversified mutual funds and over 50 industry specific funds.\u00A0 Assets under management total more than $950 billion.\u00A0 The department consists of over 200 Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and Research Associates.\u00A0 The Equity Trading group is made up of 62 trading professionals across our Boston, London and Hong Kong desks, providing 24hour access to global markets. The Equity Trading group manages execution, portfolio services and quantitative analysis for equity, convertible bonds and foreign exchange.
The PositionBased in Boston, we are seeking a candidate to join the Global Alternatives Trading team. The Global Alternatives team is responsible for the execution and monitoring of derivatives, swaps and cash prime broker positions across various investment strategies at Fidelity. The Alternatives team interacts closely with Fidelity investment professionals as well as Fidelity s compliance and operations groups.
Responsibilities

• Manage the daily execution of alternatives related flow globally, understanding the most effective manner to source liquidity while limiting market impact
• Ongoing assessment of existing positions to capture additional alpha opportunities
• Act as a subject matter expert in derivatives securities structure / strategy implementation
• Proactively engage with Fidelity s portfolio managers to discuss security selection while providing differentiated market color
  • Manage external broker-dealer relationships to ensure optimal outcomes and access to liquidity
  • Develop a deep understanding of various regulatory regimes and internal Fidelity policiesExperience and Qualifications
    • Bachelor s degree or higher
    • 7+ years experience of derivatives trading / convertible bonds / prime broker relationships
    • Understanding of various alternatives investment strategies and ability to engage investment professionals concisely and effectively
    • Careful attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize
    • Ability to work individually and in a collaborative team setting
    • Creative and strong decision-making skills
