In this role on the QRIT (Quant Research Investment Technology) engineering team you will produce high-quality, testable code for sophisticated trading products and efficiently deploy them onto AWS. The role will be available in Boston, MA, Merrimack, NH, Smithfield, RI, or Raleigh, NC.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 4+ years experience as software engineer, delivering software using agile SDLC and promoting CI / CD engineering practices.
  • Extensive experience with object-oriented design and development, and standard software design patters.
  • Strong experience with features introduced in Java 12 and later, and Spring framework (IoC, micro services, data access, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with SQL, including queries, stored procedures, and basic data modeling.
  • AWS-certified architect/developer with proven and successful experience developing solutions for the cloud (infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data) is a plus.
  • Proven experience with sophisticated distributed systems, micro services, and event-based architectures.
  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in either Engineering or Computer Science related field
  • You have full stack engineering experience and have deep knowledge of middleware Java stack, messaging technologies, containerization, web containers and test automation.
  • You have an awareness of event-based systems, functional programming, technologies such as Camel and messaging frameworks such as Kafka.
  • You have experience building enterprise cloud enabled distributed systems.
  • You know, understand and promote Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery engineering practices.
  • You demonstrate a test first development approach to developing software and can build or contribute to automated testing frameworks that can detect any anomalies in functionality, performance and integration.
  • You can clearly document design options and decisions, and present these in an organized manner to technical as well as non-technical audiences
  • You are a strong contributor with a collaborative work style in building, crafting and reviewing code
