Job Description:The GroupHeadquartered in Boston, the High Income & Alternatives group has more than $100B in assets under management (AUM).The group s AUM are invested \u201Cacross the capital structure,\u201D including in emerging markets debt, high yield bonds, leveraged loans, convertible bonds, alternative credit, and equities. Fundamental research is the foundation of the group s investment process.
The RoleThe Trader will work closely with the High Income & Alternatives portfolio managers, research analysts and traders (Emerging Markets Debt, High Yield, and Bank Loans). You will be responsible for execution, insights, and coverage as a generalist on the team, but primary back-up for Emerging Markets Debt. Located in Boston, you will report to the Head of High Income & Alternatives Trading.
The Value You Deliver

  • Contribute, generate and evaluate new trade ideas/relative value to optimize the trading process
  • Collaborate with investment professionals and assess market dynamics and strategies through sharing market insights with regard to trading levels, liquidity and flows
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the dealer community in order to support access to secondary liquidity and primary market
  • Execute with a high level of attention to detail
  • Monitor market developments, news, and trends to identify potential trading opportunities and risks
  • Collaborate with other internal trading teams to share market insights, best practices, and develop new trading strategies and toolsThe Skills & Experience You BringWe are seeking individuals who have the following characteristics:
    • Strong academic background
    • At least 2-4 years of experience trading in credit markets, preferably high yield or emerging markets
    • In depth understanding of bond markets, products and structures
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
