of Data Products is responsible for the development, lifecycle
management, and delivery of scalable, trusted, and reusable data
assets that support business operations, strategic initiatives, and
self-service analytics. This role bridges the gap between
enterprise data strategy and operational execution, ensuring that
the data product team delivers high-impact solutions aligned with
business priorities.This manager demonstrates an ownership
mentality and leads with accountability, driving project outcomes
and fostering a culture of excellence, strategic thinking, and
proactive planning. They are expected to maintain visibility across
all initiatives, optimize resource usage, and develop a deep
understanding of the business to align efforts accordingly. The
Manager of Data Products mentors a high-performing team of
analytics engineers and developers, empowering them through clear
direction, skill development, and leadership
opportunities.Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise
data products, including curated datasets, semantic layers, and
stewardship tools that support trusted data use across the
organization.
- Define and communicate a clear data product vision and roadmap
in close partnership with business stakeholders, ensuring alignment
with enterprise goals and processes.
- Maintain and manage a transparent intake and prioritization
process for data product requests, proactively balancing scope,
resources, and timelines.
- Drive effective project execution and triage, ensuring timely
resolution of blockers, consistent follow-through, and successful
delivery of data solutions.
- Champion modern data development practices (e.g., dbt, CI/CD,
version control, metadata-driven pipelines) to increase efficiency
and quality of outputs.
- Promote strong adherence to data governance principles,
including definitions, quality standards, and lineage
tracking.
- Cultivate a culture of critical thinking, realistic planning,
and risk-awareness, enabling the team to anticipate challenges and
adapt effectively.
- Mentor and enable team members by investing in their growth,
encouraging ownership, and providing opportunities for leadership
and development.
- Escalate resource constraints or competing priorities early,
and manage time, talent, and tooling with intentionality to
maintain momentum and quality.
- Continuously collaborate with governance, BI, and data
infrastructure teams to improve discoverability, usability, and
trust in enterprise data products.QualificationsEDUCATION,
EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science,
Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, data modeling, or
business intelligence environments.
- 4-7 years of experience in a management or team lead role with
demonstrated ownership of data products or platforms.
- Proven track record of delivering scalable data products in
both on-prem and cloud-based environments.
- Hands-on expertise in SQL, dbt, and analytics tooling;
experience with agile methodologies and product lifecycle
management.
- Excellent communication skills and experience aligning
technical work with strategic business objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across teams and
initiatives with a proactive and organized approach.ESSENTIAL

this role is listed below and represents our good faith and
reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of
posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary
bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this
position will be determined based on job-related,
non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and
experience, geographic location, education, external market data
and consideration of internal equity.
- Boston: $123,200 - $187,950Working ConditionsThis position
requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the
role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for
ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective
collaboration with colleagues and management.
