Administrative AssistantMission: Neighborhood Villages envisions a future in which all families have access to affordable, high-quality early education and care. In service of this vision, we advocate for early education and care policy reform and implement innovative, scalable solutions that address the biggest challenges facing early education and care providers and the families who rely on them.About Neighborhood Villages: Neighborhood Villages works with community providers to pilot programs that reduce barriers to accessing affordable, high-quality child care. Our core intervention areas include: Providing operations support to promote excellence in early learning programming Stabilizing the early education workforce through teacher training and fellowship programs Transforming child care and early learning centers into neighborhood resource hubsThe Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Chief of Staff, will work closely with Neighborhood Villages' Leadership Team, supporting individual members of the team across various initiatives, including administrative operations, Board of Trustees management, event planning and execution, and other special projects. Duties and responsibilities are detailed below.Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Provide general administrative and operations support to members of the Leadership Team Provide calendar management and scheduling support to Executive Leadership Support scheduling, planning for, and execution of quarterly board meetings, committee meetings, and other meetings or calls as needed Provide technical support (Zoom and conference call set-up and management) for meetings as needed Support members of the Leadership Team with excellent advance preparation and diligent follow-up for all meetings Engage in research projects to support Leadership Team initiatives Draft and edit communications, such as staff and board newsletters Play an integral role in the Neighborhood Villages hiring process through record keeping and initial screening conversations Provide logistical planning and support for events Manage Neighborhood Villages' office space, ensuring systems for space reservations, supplies, and technology are set up and maintained Support the Leadership Team with other initiatives and projects as assigned by the Chief of StaffQualifications: 2+ years of experience in an administrative or operations-focused position; nonprofit experience preferred Exceptional ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks and priorities Demonstrated ability to connect with people and foster community relationships Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational and data entry skills and commitment to being thorough Strong analytic and data systems management skills including proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentCompensation and Benefits:Neighborhood Villages is committed to providing competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with the professional qualifications and responsibilities of its staff.Neighborhood Villages does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, homelessness, or military status.
