Senior Product Marketing Manager - Market Analysis and GTM Strategy
Synopsys Software Integrity Group is the recognized market leader in application security products and services, and we're laser focused on helping organizations build trust in their software. We're looking for a dynamic and highly motivated product marketing leader to join our team to help define and implement go to market plans for integrated solutions than span our portfolio of application security products and services.
What You'll DoIn this role you will help Synopsys Software Integrity Group (SIG) make decisions on GTM strategy based quantitative and qualitative market analysis, serving as a resource to Marketing and Sales, as well as other groups including PM, BizDev, and the Executive team. In this role you will need to engage with various information providers, both internal (e.g. sales, sales ops, and finance teams) and external (e.g. analyst firms, GTM partners, etc.). Potential initiatives include:

  • Competitive Packaging & Pricing Analysis: How do SIG offerings compare to market trends as well as the products/packages/pricing of our major competitors? What pricing programs, packages/bundles, and discounting models should we consider?
  • Geo/Vertical Marketing Analysis: Which vertical markets should we prioritize based on market opportunity (TAM/SAM/SOM)? What are the unique market requirements of a target vertical? What competitors might we run into? Who might we want to partner with (technology/GTM partners)?
  • Portfolio Positioning: Based on the above analysis, how should we combine and position offerings from our portfolio as solutions to the specific needs of target markets? What capabilities should we consider adding to our portfolio (organically or through partnering/acquisition)?
    To succeed in these initiatives you will need to:

    • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the trends and dynamics of the Application Security/DevSecOps market.
    • Participate frequently in customer, prospect, and partner scenarios as a product expert - to develop a deep understanding of their business and technical needs.
    • Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to win against them.
    • Develop positioning and messaging that differentiates Synopsys security solutions in the market.
    • Communicate the value proposition of our AppSec solutions to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process.
    • Drive the creation of sales enablement resources including selling guides, presentations, and competitive insight.
    • Work with the content marketing teams to create market awareness and promotional content including blogs, web pages, datasheets, and whitepapers for sales and marketing efforts to generate demand and demonstrate Synopsys market leadership.
    • Contribute to the overall marketing plan with go-to-market and demand generation ideas and approaches
    • Lead a team of product marketing managers and provide guidance on messaging, materials, approaches for multiple product areas.
    • Develop a cross-portfolio understanding of our products and services and create compelling messaging, positioning and packaging for new and existing solutions. What We're Looking For
      • 10+ years in product or technical marketing, product management, or related role within an enterprise software company
      • Passion for application security technology and familiarity with market trends: Application Security, Cloud Security, DevOps, Containers, IoT, etc.
      • Working knowledge of B2B marketing programs, demand/lead generation, and sales
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate technical topics into clear communications for internal and external audiences, including customers, sales & marketing teams, press, and analyst.
      • Proven ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and product capabilities.
      • Team player with ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with others to create innovative messaging and content.
      • High attention to detail and quality with the ability to work at a fast pace, managing changing deadlines and balancing shifting priorities across multiple projects.
      • Results-oriented individual with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude and demonstrated pattern of accountable decision making
      • Demonstrated leadership with experience managing, motivating and mentoring team members
      • BS/BA in technical program preferred; MBA a plus.
