Job Description:
WHAT YOU''LL DO This co-op position offers the opportunity to
gain exposure into the field of media relations and experience the
environment of working for a widely regarded, global company. You
will take on multiple responsibilities related to monitoring BCG''s
media presence, as well as that of our competitors. You will become
highly proficient working with a variety of external platforms. You
will gain experience writing across multiple channels, including
for LinkedIn and Slack, weekly email newsletters, and the In the
News page on bcg.com. Additionally, you will have the opportunity
to execute on a variety of ad hoc projects related to different
elements of public relations, including pitching BCG reports and
insights, supporting media activations, and partnerships. YOU''RE
GOOD AT * You have a curiosity for and a desire to learn about the
media landscape across all types of global industries, as well as
media relations more broadly. * You possess a sharp analytical mind
and critical thinking skills. * You possess the ability to write
clearly and succinctly for different business channels. * You are
detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple
responsibilities and deadlines. * You are self-motivated and thrive
equally well working independently as you do in collaborative
settings. * You are an effective communicator who is comfortable
asking questions as well as sharing your ideas related to problem
solving, improving processes, etc. YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE &
QUALIFICATIONS) * Must be an undergraduate student currently
enrolled in Northeastern University and approved by the university
to participate in the January to June 2024 co-op cycle * Candidate
must have a demonstrated interest in media/marketing. * Must have
excellent written and spoken English skills. * Other attributes
that would be desirable, but not necessary, are: a background in
journalism, media relations, marketing or business. * Must have
work authorization to work in the United States YOU''LL WORK WITH
This co-op is unique in that it is a shared resource between two
teams: the Global Media Relations and North America Public
Relations teams. In total, you will have 11 team members who you
will work with on a variety of projects throughout your tenure at
BCG. You will be very much a full-fledged member of the broader
team, whose contributions are highly valued and highly visible. You
will be teaming with a group of BCGers who are personable, driven
and strategic - and who are committed to providing you with
opportunities to learn, succeed, and advance your professional
development in a positive environment.
