Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; performing complex software development to
change the way software tools are used to deploy real-time
applications; conceptualizing, designing, architecting, and
implementing the next generation automatic C/C++ code generation
technologies that convert system designs into production-ready
multicore embedded systems; providing out-of-the-box application
creation for industry leading embedded operating system
environments (Linux and QNX); and providing easy customization of
application interfaces including messages, queues, data sharing,
and concurrent threads.
Education and Experience:
Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering
or Computer Science and two (2) years of experience in job offered
or two (2) years of experience in development or testing of
code-generation for Simulink.
Ph.D. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or
Computer Science and no experience.
Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and six (6) years of experience in
job offered or six (6) years of experience in development or
testing of code-generation for Simulink.
Demonstrated expertise in object oriented design and programming
in C++, MATLAB, and Simulink for the control systems domain; and
writing system level tests in MATLAB for graphics testing or
Simulink code generation.
Demonstrated expertise developing or testing C++ code on Windows
and Linux systems using debugging and IDE tools -- GDB, Emacs, and
Visual Studio -- and using interfaces implemented in multiple
languages -- C, C++ and MATLAB.
Demonstrated expertise analyzing, debugging, and re-architecting
a large C++ codebase (1M+ lines of code); and maintaining the
codebase using Perforce version control tool.
Demonstrated expertise writing scheduling algorithms in MATLAB
for hybrid control systems; and implementing MATLAB or C/C++
algorithms on control systems hardware -- ARM or Raspberry Pi.
