Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; supporting the ongoing development and
maintenance of MathWorks data warehousing systems and marts;
testing throughout the entire data development lifecycle, including
data profiling, ETL and data model design, development, testing and
support; working with MathWorks project teams and business users to
understand business requirements; performing data mapping to
develop effective test plans, test cases, and technical scripts,
conduct reviews and execute test cases; providing technical support
in source systems and data through data profiling and analysis
efforts using SQL and related tools; validating source to target
mappings using BusinessObjects Data Services and BODI; designing
and developing test plans to validate MathWorks data warehouse
processes and business intelligence applications; testing ETL code
changes to ensure quality of data produced; ensuring the design and
delivered solutions meet business needs; and participating in Agile
and Scrum processes to provide accurate QA status with project
manager. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and two (2) years of experience in
job offered or two (2) years of experience in development or
testing of data warehousing systems and data marts. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and six (6) years of experience in
job offered or six (6) years of experience in development or
testing of data warehousing systems and data marts. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise designing, developing and executing test
plans and test cases, performing data profiling, and reviewing test
plans to validate data warehouse processes and business
intelligence applications; and analyzing logical and physical data
models, including star schema design and ER models. Demonstrated expertise writing SQL query scripts on MSSQL,
MySQL, or Oracle databases to test data mapping, data
transformation, data integrity, and data completeness; and writing
SQL stored procedures to design test automation frameworks and
building ETL jobs to identify and correct bugs. Demonstrated expertise testing ETL code using ETL tools --
Informatica, BODI, or Datastage; and performing performance testing
of ETL code. Demonstrated expertise designing data visualizations -- reports
and dashboards -- using Tableau, BusinessObjects, and PowerBI. [Expertise may be gained during Graduate program.] For the position listed above, interested candidates may search
