Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing
sophisticated software; building out web services, performing UI
design, and maintaining internal facing applications for use by
MathWorks teams; developing and deploying applications to meet
company requirements using a WISP (Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL
Server and PHP) backend and HTML/JavaScript frontend; creating site
layout and user interface from provided design concepts using
standard practices; using SQL server database design, creating
relational database stored procedures and schemas, and performing
web application and framework design; performing system and
component level analysis; designing, coding, testing, and
documenting internet/intranet application development projects;
designing and delivering software functionality through programming
and infrastructure software; providing hands-on technical
development; partnering with other application development teams in
using and enhancing standards and methodologies for development;
and ensuring on-time completion of all application
deliverables. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and no
experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and five (5)
years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience
in full-stack web development. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise performing web design and development
including designing rich internet content using HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, and PHP or ASP.NET; and applying unit and system level
testing methodologies to JavaScript web UIs. Demonstrated expertise in high performance web UI development
using ReactJS and AngularJS frameworks and using JavaScript
libraries -- jQuery and D3. Demonstrated expertise assessing and manipulating SQL databases
using Microsoft SQL server; mapping PHP or ASP.NET objects to a SQL
database; and deploying PHP- or ASP.NET-based web applications on a
Microsoft IIS web server. Demonstrated expertise developing software applications along
the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to scrum-based
Agile methodologies; performing version control using Perforce or
GitLab; and performing Agile task management using JIRA and
