Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for providing technical services supporting of
MathWorks engineering software products to customers across a range
of industries, including the automotive, aerospace, robotics,
medical, energy, and communications industries with a focus on
system simulation and model-based design; building models,
generating embedded code, and verifying designs; helping MathWorks
customers achieve their goals and enhance their productivity;
developing custom technical solutions for MathWorks customers;
defining requirements with customers and preparing technical sales
proposals; leading team-based customer engagements; conceiving,
building, and presenting original demos of product functionality;
and applying technical engineering expertise to brand development
via blogs, webinars, conferences, and papers. Requires frequent
travel and on short notice. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering and one (1) year of experience in job offered or one
(1) year of experience in development, testing, or technical
support of real-time simulation and rapid prototyping using MATLAB
and Simulink. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five
(5) years of experience in development, testing, or technical
support of real-time simulation and rapid prototyping using MATLAB
and Simulink. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise collecting and analyzing technical
customer needs and developing proof-of-concept code and models for
automotive, aerospace, or power systems industry customers to use
software tools to meet customer requirements. Demonstrated expertise developing plant models and performing
control systems design using MATLAB and Simulink, including
implementing Model-Based Design workflows and performing automatic
production code generation using MATLAB Coder, Simulink Coder, and
Embedded Coder. Demonstrated expertise designing, developing and testing models
and algorithms for real time execution -- hardware-in-the-loop
(HIL) applications, including performing reduced order modeling,
optimized solver selection, and model partitioning to utilize
multi-core architectures. Demonstrated expertise modeling mechanical, power-electronic,
and multi-domain systems for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing on
Speedgoat Target, Texas Instruments C2000, or dSPACE platforms; and
applying techniques including averaging to increase flexibility for
