Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software; designing and implementing cutting-edge tools to
help qualify MATLAB Mobile - an Android and iOS app to connect to
MATLAB; developing test infrastructure and tooling; authoring
automated tests to detect software bugs; participating in
development projects from the early design stages and playing a
critical role in driving to final product releases; writing
automated functional and performance test suites; diagnosing and
reporting bugs; and working with the source code in Objective-C,
Swift, Java, Kotlin and MATLAB. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in
job offered or five (5) years of experience developing or testing
iOS or Android applications. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming in
Java. Demonstrated expertise designing and developing test plans, test
procedures, and test cases based upon functional and design
specifications for Android or iOS applications; and analyzing and
reporting bugs using JIRA project management software to liaise
with developers on bug fixes. Demonstrated expertise executing automation tests using Robotium
or Appium within a Java environment; and testing Android or iOS
code frameworks. Demonstrated expertise using a continuous integration system --
Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab -- within an Agile development
