Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software; developing software to test both traditional Java
desktop applications and next generation JavaScript-based web
applications; engaging early in the software development process,
influencing requirements specifications and discussing software
design and testability to ensure high quality functionality and
performance of MathWorks software and products; designing and
developing test suites for new web-based UI components, with strong
emphasis on test automation; extending testing framework for
increasing testability, and contributing to the long-term automated
testing vision and strategy of the company; developing test
strategies and test procedures based upon functional and design
specifications; analyzing and reporting bugs; participating in
functional specification, test specification, documentation, and
code reviews; and fostering a continuous process improvement
environment. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming using
C/C++ and JavaScript; and designing and developing web-based GUI
using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within a SQL server backend
environment. Demonstrated expertise writing automated testing scripts for web
applications using Java on Selenium. Demonstrated expertise performing quality engineering according
to Agile and Test Driven Development methodologies, including
creating test plans and test procedures. Demonstrated expertise using continuous integration system --
