Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software to support products used by customers in the
controls system domain, including mechanical and automotive
physical systems; developing and executing software tests for
various features of the Simulink Real-Time product; developing
automated test suites and conducting hands-on testing of the
supported APIs, I/O drivers and communication protocols including
Real-Time UDP and EtherCAT; defining and implementing testing
strategies including new automated test harnesses; developing fully
automated test-benches for software and lab hardware to launch the
next generation of high-performance real-time systems;
participating in feature development including authoring of test
plans; writing fully automated test suites using MATLAB and other
automated tools; executing the interactive testing plans; and
discovering, analyzing and reporting bugs detected in MATLAB,
Simulink, Simulink Real-Time and other Toolboxes using an in-house
bug tracking system. Education and Experience: Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering
or Computer Science and two (2) years of experience in job offered
or two (2) years of experience in development or testing of
real-time PLC-based or automotive control applications. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise performing model-in-the loop (MIL)
testing using MATLAB and Simulink. Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB, Simulink, and
C/C++, including object-oriented design and analysis. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design,
implementation, and testing within the physical systems or
automotive domain. Demonstrated expertise in development, testing, or technical
support of APIs with PLC instrumentation hardware, control units,
fieldbus I/O devices, and sensors using industry standard protocols
and transports -- TCP/IP, UDP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, RS485,
and RS232. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Graduate
