Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software used by customers in the mechanical
engineering domain; building revolutionary controls-based software
tools used in modeling, simulating, and deploying modular,
multi-domain engineering systems; decomposing models into
individual components and combining them to build the larger
system; designing and developing the next generation of block
diagram enhancements and tools for use in modeling, simulation and
code generation of controls-based mechanical engineering systems;
advancing the design and presentation of component interfaces to
enable large-scale modeling and systems engineering workflows;
improving the Simulink product infrastructure; and collaborating
with other Simulink teams and developing algorithms to improve
modeling, simulation, testing and code generation for
component-based workflows. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in design and development of modeling and
simulation systems including object oriented design and analysis,
including writing algorithms, applying design patterns, and
programming in C/C++ and MATLAB or Simulink. Demonstrated expertise using STL data structures and containers
and applying algorithms for code optimization and code reuse. Demonstrated expertise analyzing, re-architecting and
refactoring large legacy code bases (1M+ lines of code). Demonstrated expertise using UML modeling tools to design and
