Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software; developing software to qualify software
engineering product functionality from the early design stages and
playing a critical role in driving the software quality to final
product development; representing the next generation MATLAB Editor
that will be used across desktop, cloud and mobile products;
performing complex programming and problem solving to define test
strategies, design, code, debug and deploy test automation
solutions to fully qualify cutting-edge new features used by
millions of MathWorks customers all over the world; working on a
cohesive engineering team and delivering high quality, elegant and
well-crafted software; designing and developing comprehensive test
strategies, test plans and test procedures; implementing
test-infrastructure and adding automated tests; reporting and
debugging bugs and qualifying bug fixes; participating in design
reviews and code reviews; influencing software design, promoting
proper engineering practices, bug prevention strategies,
testability, accessibility, and performance; researching and
introducing new tools, contributing to the long-term automated
testing vision and strategy of the company; and fostering a
continuous process improvement environment. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming using
MATLAB, Java, and JavaScript; and in web application development
using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Demonstrated expertise writing automated testing scripts for web
applications using Java and selenium-based tools; and designing
automated testing frameworks for web applications, web services and
APIs using QUnit and FuncUnit. Demonstrated expertise using Perforce continuous integration
system within an Agile development environment. Demonstrated expertise performing quality engineering according
to Agile and Test Driven Development methodologies, including
