Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
software; designing, architecting, and developing MATLAB Online
services, cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes infrastructure; building
massively scalable concurrent systems; collaborating in a fast
paced Agile environment with a highly cross-functional team;
designing and implementing software and infrastructure to support
high-availability and high-scalability; creating requirements,
design specifications, and participating in code reviews; and
sharing ideas, asking questions and contributing to team growth
through technical mentoring. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object oriented design and analysis
using Go, JavaScript and Java; writing SQL scripts to extract and
store data within a SQL or NoSQL environment, including writing SQL
queries in PostgreSQL for database integration of web services. Demonstrated expertise developing and deploying multi-tier web
applications on on-premise infrastructure -- Glassfish or Tomcat --
and on Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure, according to Agile
SCRUM methodologies; and analyzing, re-architecting, and
refactoring existing RESTful/SOAP web services for performance and
scalability. Demonstrated expertise performing containerization using Docker
and Runc and orchestration using Kubernetes; and applying cloud
computing concepts to develop massively scalable and parallel
systems. Demonstrated expertise performing version control and continuous
integration, including analysis and implementation of branching
