Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
software; performing software development to design and build the
tooling, infrastructure, and web applications that enable MathWorks
customers to view, download, clone, and submit interactive
examples; designing, architecting, and developing web applications
supporting MathWorks Examples workflow; collaborating in a fast
paced Agile development environment with a highly cross-functional
team; designing and implementing software and infrastructure;
creating requirements and design specifications; participating in
code reviews; and using Java, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Vue.js,
Angular, React and REST Web Services. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in web development using JavaScript and
Ruby, including HTML for rich internet content, CSS for styles, UI
development using JQuery and Vue JS frameworks and back end
development using Rails frameworks, and using Web Services patterns
-- REST and AJAX. Demonstrated expertise developing MATLAB-based applications over
Ruby on Rails and Java web services; and using data structures and
applying algorithms for code optimization and code reuse using Ruby
Gems and APIs. Demonstrated expertise writing object oriented database queries
using Active Record and SQL query scripts on MySQL databases to
extract, manipulate and save data. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design,
architecture design, implementation, and testing, according to
