Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for analyzing engineering, business, and other
data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems;
analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate
and improve existing systems and review computer system
capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations; supporting
MathWorks implementation and ongoing development of ServiceNow;
supporting a variety of business processing, including Application
Portfolio Management, IT Asset Management, IT Operations Management
and IT Service Management; partnering with stakeholders across the
organization to gather and validate requirements and define
acceptance criteria; partnering with development team to define
solutions and refine stories; designing, documenting, and improving
process flows; creating mockups and designs either independently or
with assistance from UX experts; performing configurations to
deliver new features; aligning with team release model;
facilitating data governance and collaborating on data model
design; transforming and mapping data for support of import and
integration with other systems; monitoring and managing quality of
data in federated configuration management databased (CMDB);
creating and analyzing centralized reports to measure adoption and
impact of various features; working with end users to resolve work
stoppage issues and collect feedback; escalating to
developers/vendors as needed to resolve customer-reported issues;
creating and maintaining production runbooks; and identifying and
advocating for operational improvements via automations or process
change. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years
of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience
developing custom applications on the ServiceNow platform. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise programming in JavaScript. Demonstrated expertise integrating ServiceNow with third party
systems using REST API and integration hubs; and developing
ServiceNow Dashboard and Reports. Demonstrated expertise defining, implementing, communicating,
and improving IT Service Management processes -- Incident, Change,
Problem, Service Portal and Release Management -- using ITIL
standards and Workplace Management tool. Demonstrated expertise developing software applications along
the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to scrum-based
Agile methodologies, including requirements gathering, functional
design, architecture design, documentation, implementation, and
