Job Description:
Will be responsible for developing software to test
sophisticated code generation products; participating in software
development projects from the early design stages and driving them
to product release; developing and implementing test plans,
building automated test suites, researching and developing test
tooling and infrastructure for running automated tests;
contributing to final product release and evolving MathWorks Test
Bed for future scalability; designing test strategies and building
test tools to efficiently test the functionality of the Code
Generation product set; executing test suites, investigating
results, and reporting bugs using a bug tracking system; ensuring
code generation performance and efficiency of generated code; and
examining and improving source code coverage and advising other
teams on code generation quality impact. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years
of experience as a Senior Software Engineer in Test (or related
occupation) performing development and testing of C/C++ software
applications in the aerospace, automotive, or transportation
domain. OR Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. OR Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years
of experience as a Senior Software Engineer in Test (or related
occupation) performing development and testing of C/C++ software
applications in the aerospace, automotive, or transportation
domain. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented design and development
in C/C++, including performing multi-process, multi-threaded
programming and developing mathematical algorithms and data
structures. Demonstrated expertise designing test plans, developing test
tools and writing test automation scripts using Python and Shell
script. Demonstrated expertise developing and debugging C++ code using
Visual Studio, Eclipse CDT editor, or GDB debugger. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design,
architecture design, implementation, and testing, according to
