Job Description:
Will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; designing and developing cloud-based data
analytics tools; supporting MATLAB developers and management by
delivering high-quality data, data analysis and data access
solutions which provide insights on how MathWorks products are
being used; applying the data analysis and tool development skills
to advance the cloud-based, big data program at MathWorks;
providing consultation on data schemas as well as data discovery
and data profiling for new sources of data; developing and
supporting data access tools; developing a thorough understanding
of MATLAB, product usage data, and other enterprise data sources;
and collaborating with teams across the organization including
Engineering, User Experience, Marketing, and the enterprise data
warehouse. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years
of experience as a Senior Software Engineer (or related occupation)
writing SQL to design and develop dashboards, visualizations,
scorecards and reports. OR Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. OR Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years
of experience as a Senior Software Engineer (or related occupation)
writing SQL to design and develop dashboards, visualizations,
scorecards and reports. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise aggregating and deriving metrics using
SQL. Demonstrated expertise designing and developing data
visualizations, reports, dashboards, and scorecards to identify,
analyze, and interpret trends and insights using Business
Intelligence (BI) tools. Demonstrated expertise extracting, transforming, and loading
large semi-structured datasets (1M+ records) into structured
formats for consumption and analysis. Demonstrated expertise working with business stakeholders to
gather requirements, and design, develop, and test data pipeline
