Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for writing components of technical
documentation for engineering products; creating written content
for Simulink; writing user-focused content that explains how to use
tools to design, model, and simulate engineering systems;
developing examples and tutorials that show how to use software
features that span multiple products; and contributing to all of
the phases of the software development process by collaborating
with software developers, quality engineers and usability
expert. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. OR Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years
of experience as an Engineering Technical Writer (or related
occupation) performing technical writing for control systems
software. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB and Simulink,
including using MATLAB and Simulink to design and simulate control
systems. Demonstrated expertise developing models using custom MATLAB and
Simulink technologies -- MATLAB System Objects and Simulink
S-Functions. Demonstrated expertise in model-based simulation to solve
real-world problems in the control systems domain using MATLAB and
Simulink, including using MATLAB and Simulink to create technical
customer documentation; and writing technical documentation using
XML markup language. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design,
architecture design, implementation, and testing, according to
