Position: Part-Time High School Math Teacher (2022-23 Opportunity)Location: Boston, MA (Brighton Campus)Start date: August, 2022Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. See our full statement on diversity here.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWe are accepting applications for a Part-Time High School Math Teacher to join the faculty starting in the 2022-2023 school year. This position is located at our high school on 1001 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton.The compensation for full-time Match teaching positions ranges from $60,000-$96,000 and is based on a candidates prior years of teaching experience. OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis position includes a number of essential responsibilities, including (but not limited to): Teach two high school math classes; Develop daily lessons aligned with Matchs math curriculum in collaboration with department colleagues and leadership team members; Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there; Participate actively in Matchs coaching and professional development programming; Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School communityQUALIFICATIONSResearch has shown that people of color and women are less likely to apply for jobs if they dont believe they meet every one of the qualifications described in a job description.
