Job Description:

-Instruct English Learner students individually or in groups in oral language activities that foster the child's participation in the school's total program.-Provide written language activities until the student is ready to join an existing language arts group within the school.-Recommend appropriate modifications of the child's regular classroom assignments with respect to the existing English language level.-Assist in developing a sequential ESL Program.-Assist in developing/assembling relevant assessment materials.-Assist in developing/assembling materials for classroom use.Qualifications-Certification as Teacher of English as a Second Language.-Experience as teacher of English as a Second Language in a public school setting preferred.-Fluency in a second language preferred.-Extended experience living in another culture preferred.Supplemental InformationSALARY: Per ASC/Andover Education Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.REPORTS TO: Building Principal and District's English Learner Education coordinatorPDN-9907103a-2ae7-4d90-9f64-fc9d2d6ab912
