Description: The New England College of Optometry (NECO) invites
applications to join the professional staff as an attending
optometrist and clinical faculty. We are seeking a non-tenure,
clinical track faculty doctor who has a keen interest in providing
clinical care at both Dimock Center and Martha Eliot Health Center,
combined with laboratory teaching and precepting optometry students
in the Vision Screening service for a full-time faculty position.
This person should have a desire to teach tomorrow's optometrists
the principles of optometric and interdisciplinary care. Our
mission is to improve the vision and eye health of populations
through excellence in collaborative and community-oriented patient
care, service, education, and research. A NECO optometrist is an
exceptionally qualified doctor of optometry and clinician-educator
who works in a dynamic team-oriented, multidisciplinary non-profit
eye care network serving the vision and eye health needs of
populations in greater Boston. Clinical attending optometrists are
also faculty members that have teaching appointments with NECO, and
thus advance both the service and teaching missions of the

TPA+ licensure (glaucoma and anti-infective privileges) in
Massachusetts, advanced professional credentials such as residency

in patient care and teaching. Experience serving a diverse patient
base and language skills other than English are preferred, but not
