About the Opportunity The Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
Program Director is responsible for general oversight, strategy and
program growth for the Northeastern University School Health
Academy (NEUSHA) as well as northeastern University Bouvé College
of Health Sciences related continuing nursing education activities
. The Program Director works collaboratively to create, implement,
and maintain the process for web-based learning as well as
in-person learning. Reporting to Bouvé College and working closely
with the School of Nursing, the Program Director is responsible for
the overseeing the accreditation by American Nurses Credentialing
Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC), which includes
following ANCC guidelines for planners and presenters of nursing
continuing professional development. Other responsibilities include
but are not limited to, assessing professional development needs
from program evaluations and identification of appropriate speakers
for programming The Program Director reports to the Assistant Dean
for Clinical Affairs and Partnerships at Bouve. Qualifications
Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred), current RN license, and a
minimum of 5 years of experience working in school nursing/school
health services. Knowledge of the accreditation process for nursing
continuing professional development and adult learning principles
are required. Outstanding communication and organizational skills
are needed. Job Responsibilities and Accountability Continuing
Education (CE) Strategic Planning and Communications with
leadership team (20%): The Program Director will actively
participate in meetings related to educational programming within
Northeastern University and with external organizations and
partners. Must work collaboratively with other University programs
to develop CNE and interprofessional education (IPE) offerings.
Oversee promotion of CNE programs. Participate in dissemination of
program outcomes (advisory group, presentations, publication).
CNE-Specific Program Strategic Planning (30%): The Program Director
will lead investigations and networking to identify potential
future CNE programming, including live (webinars, conferences,
workshops) and recorded (enduring) educational activities to create
new revenue streams for continuing education for nurses in schools
(Northeastern University School Health Academy, NEUSHA) and other
nursing specialties. CNE-Specific Program Development, Delivery and
Evaluation (40%): The Program Director is responsible for
independent planning to initiate, design, and develop the of live
(webinars, conferences, workshops) and recorded (enduring)
programming to create new revenue streams for continuing education
for nurses in schools (Northeastern University School Health
Academy, NEUSHA) and other nursing specialties. This role is
responsible for developing and reviewing program evaluations,
overseeing Nurse Planners according to accreditation requirements,
and collaborating with faculty to improve the continuing education
programs. Fiscal (10%): The Program Director will manage finances
of the program, including revenue and expense tracking, and speaker
and program fees. The Program Director collaborates closely with
the CNE Program Coordinator and Bouve Budget Manager. Northeastern

Expected Hiring Range: $87,785.00 - $123,998.75 With the pay
range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several
factors, which may include your education, experience, location,
knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to
similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are
reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
