Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager 1, will
be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software systems; developing and implementing
software tools to facilitate the application of
reinforcement learning to practical industrial applications in
areas including robotics and other autonomous systems;
improving the integration and deployment of reinforcement
learning tools with workflows utilizing GPUs, parallel
computing and cloud computing; participating in all aspects of
the product development process from writing
functional specifications to designing software architecture to
implementing software features; and working with
quality engineering, documentation, and usability teams to
develop state-of-the-art software tools.
Education and Experience:
Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience.
Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of
in job offered or five (5) years of experience in development,
testing or technical support of controls systems and deep
Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented design and analysis
using MATLAB; and programming and debugging in
MATLAB and Simulink.
Demonstrated expertise designing machine learning and deep
learning applications in MATLAB and Simulink; and
performing controls system design and analysis in MATLAB and
Demonstrated expertise writing and implementing reinforcement
learning algorithms to design controls systems.
Demonstrated expertise using MATLAB, Simulink and physical
modeling tools -- Simscape and Simscape
Multibody -- for modeling, analysis and simulation.
